The Wings Of A Dove.

To fly up high in the sky above,
And to have the wings of a snow white dove.
Flying high, flying low,
Watching people down below.
Flying fast, flying far,
Taking a rest on the brightest star,
I would not have sin or pride,
I'd have Jesus at my side.
When I've finished exploring the sky,
I would fly to a peek so high.
The peek is the top of the very high places,
And all around me are happy faces.
Oh, to have the wings of a dove,
And to know such perfect love.
For the light would never grow dim,
On the high places forever with Him.

God's Special Child.

I know that it is very true,
That I was born different to you.
But, that don't mean that you should laugh,
Everytime I turn my back.
With you, I cannot communicate,
But that don't mean, that you should hate.
The Lord sent me to the earth this way,
I didn't really have a say.
I am autistic, but I still know,
That the Lord loves me so.
I cannot say what's in my head,
But that don't mean my brain is dead.
So, if at me you must stare,
Please, I beg you, I do care,
I'm a child of the Lord above,
Treat me with respect and love.

The Beauty Of Spring.

Spring is my favourite time of all,
When all god's nature gets a wake up call.
The little flowers out they peep,
After having a very long sleep.
The birds are singing on a very high note,
Saying goodbye to the winter ghost.

The air is filled with music and song,
Telling us all that the cold is gone.
The trees once bare, now turning green,
And are looking alot more keen.

The beautiful daffodil shows it's face,
Standing tall so full of grace.
And the tulip, what a lovely flower,
Giving us a glimpse of God's power.

Yes, Spring is a beautiful time of year,
Making everything so clear,
Of the power of the Lord above,
Sending us His precious love.

The Death Of A Loved One.

It's a very hard thing to try and bare,
When we've lost someone very rare.
But, at some stage in our lives,
Most of us, will face this strive.
When someone close is called home,
Not to see them again, or talk on the phone.
This can make it hard to endure,
And can make us so unsure,
Of why the Lord, made us so sad,
And sometimes this will make us mad.
But the Lord knows how we feel,
And in His time,He will heal.
The pain so heavy in our heart,
Of the loved one we had to part.
And when it's our time to go home,
We can be sure, we won't be alone.
We'll have company on our way,
When we reach our final day.
And we will fly with the wings of a dove,
Into the arms of the ones we love.

CREATURES OF THE WILD

All God's creatures great and small,
We must indeed respect them all.
They were made by the Lord's own plan,
He didn't give them to any man.

Leave the creatures of the wild alone,
This is where I made their home.
I didn't send them to be abused
I sent them to be, of good use.

The creatures have a role to play,
On this earth day by day.
So-when you hunt them, stop and think,
Please don't let them become extinct.

Life Without Friends.

Life without friends has got to be sad,
It must make a person feel real bad.
To know there's no one you can call,
To go and play a game of ball.

If you are feeling sad and blue,
And have no friends to comfort you.
It must be a feeling of dispair,
To know that you have no one there.

If you have good news you'd like to share,
And there's no one that really care.
Good news is not so good to you,
If you can't share it with a freind or two.

So-if we know someone that's sad,
Let us try and make them glad.
Show them kindness if we dare,
If we have God's love, we should share.

Life is short, do all you can,
By helping out another man.
Always give, do your best,
And them my friends, you will be blessed.

The Beggar.

I need to stop to truly see,
All God's children surrounding me.
If in me, God's light exists,
I will know His wondereous bliss.

Our life is passing so fast each day,
We don't have time to know the way.
The way is that of God above,
To help our brother and show him love.

We pass a beggar on the street,
Looking for a bite to eat,
But, we're to busy to realize,
That this is Jesus in disguise.

This whole world is one big race,
We don't have time to see His grace.
Maybe if, we slow our pace,
Will might even, see his face.

Help our brother in his need,
And this will be a real good deed.
It will also let God know,
That we love our brother so.

If we have loved, then we are blessed,
Ans we will earn our eternal rest.

My Climb.

When I said I had enough,
and things were getting far too tough.
I told the Lord, I can't go on,
He said, my child, you must be strong.
Then I told Him, I needed a rest,
He said, my dear, this is only a test.

Don't give up, please don't give in,
And I promise, you will win.

When others are struggling to climb the hill,
I need you to tell them, that this is my will.
And when they have completed their climb,
This, I promise, they will Shine

So-don't give up in times of despair,
I'll only give you what you can bare.
I'll be with you on that road,
I'll be happy to share your load.
We can talk as we walk together,
And you will live with me forever.

God's Beauty.

To see God's beauty, oh what a sight,
To see everything so beautiful and bright.

The perfume of a tiny flower,
Gives us some sight of His power.
And little birds will sing to your ear,
The sweetest tunes you'll ever hear.

To see the innocence on a child's face,
To know that they are full of grace.
Children are not tainted at all,
They get great joy from things so small.

I pray to the Lord for our children on earth,
The He will bless them from their birth.

My Childhood Dream.

When I was very small,
I used to sit on our front wall,
I'd stare at the stars up in the sky,
Wondering what it was like to fly.

I fly up high amoung the stars,
Maybe even visit Mars.
I would breath the air so deep,
Never wanting to have a sleep.

With the speed of lightening on my wings,
I would see such wonderful things.
I'd fly real fast, or fly real slow,
And nobody there to tell me so.

And,I would not get hurt at all,
They'd be no ground for me to fall.

Christmas Puppy.

Christmas is a time for living,
A time for love, and a time for giving.
The children make it best of all,
Their presents are open before you can call.

Then she asks with a face sincere,
Mommy, you promised me a puppy this year.
I go to the kitchen, and in I bring,
This little life, cuddly thing.
She holds the puppy and hugs him tight
And says, you will sleep with me tonight.

She tells him, I love you with all my heart,
And I promise, with you I won't part.

But time goes on and the puppy has grown,
And he in the yard all alone.
He cries and he barks, and Dad gets mad,
He tells the puppy, you're so bad.

Then, the puppy is thrown aside,
So, Daddy takes him for a ride.
The little girl won't even cry,
As the puppy is thrown on the streets to die.

It's Going To Be A Bright Day

When you wake up, at first light,
Having slept all through the night.
You know it's going to be a bright day,
So-join your hands, and to the Lord pray.

Help me Lord as I go on my way,
Please make this a real bright day.
And to the Lord, this I say,
Shine forth from me, your beaming ray.

The ray of love, the ray of hope,
Helping other people cope.
So-come with me Lord as I go on my way,
I know it's going to be a bright day.

I Will Not Fail You.

I am the Lord of all the earth,
I will not fail you, never forget.
I am here to ease your pain,
So, pray my child in my name.
Tell me your troubles,
The grief in your heart.
Yes, this I promise,
From you I won't part.
To you I will listen,
To all that you say.
I will stay with you,
All through the day.
And, when the day ends,
And it turns into night.
I'll be still with you,
Just stay in my light.
I promise, my child,
You I will please.
And, as time goes on,
Your pain it will ease.
I will not fail you,
I'm here till the end,
For, I am your Lord,
Your Saviour, and friend.

Keep Me Near.

I ask you Lord to keep me near,
When life is not so very clear.
I need you Jesus to be my friend,
Until my life on earth will end.

Guide me in my work and play,
From my lips, only good I say.
Keep me near Lord, never let go,
I need you always, I love you so.
I need you when the ride is rough,
Help me Jesus to be tough.

I need you too when life is good,
And I know, I really would.
Miss Jesus my companion,
If He couldn't be found.
So, keep me near Jesus,
Please stick around.

My sister-in-law died a two years ago, I wrote this poem for my brother,he is having it framed to place it on her grave.
Every word in this poem is true of her.

My Darling Wife.

We met when we were very young,
And all our days were full of fun.
Carefree lives, not a worry in mind,
Those are the memories you left behind.

We got married late in the year,
My life was complete then, Benny my dear.
Or first child was born, Oh what a joy,
You said, oh Dixie, we have a boy.

The years went by, we had more kids,
We moved out of, our old digs.
To a house of our own,
This became our family home.

We had our troubles and trials in life,
But, that was O.K.I had my wife,
To sort out what went wrong,
You were always very strong.

You had great talents, you used them well,
You even open a small hotel.
You worked so hard for all you knew,
But, thoughts for yourself, were but a few.

You gave us all what we have today,
So, this dear Benny, I'd like to say,
Thank you for sharing with me your life,
I'm so proud you were my wife.

So, rest and play with the angels above,
The kids and I send all our love.

I am so very sorry to say, my darling brother joined his wife in heaven since I wrote this poem, I know he is happy in his heavenly home with the Lord and his loved ones, but I miss him so much. I love you Dixie.

Fear Not Of Death.

Fear not of death when it draws near,
The Lord will say, you are welcome here.
If through your life you've done good deeds,
By helping others in their needs.
You'll have no fear when the end is here,
The Lord will say, come rest my dear.
And in His home up above,
You will find eternal love.

Walk In The Light.

If we truly love the Lord,
And have Him in our lives each day.
We'll have no worry or fear the night,
If in us, we pocess His light.

We need Jesus in our lives each day,
Guiding all we do and say.
We'll have calm when the day will end,
For He was with us, our beloved friend.

So, walk in the light of God each day,
As we journey on our way.
To His kingdom of delight,
Where we'll neve know a night.

I would like to dedicate this poem to my dearest friend Janet, she is the best and most caring friend I ever had.
Thank you Janet, love you.

Rose Petals.

I love the rose, it's very dear,
It tells me that the Lord is near.
The perfume of this little rose,
No one but, the dear Lord knows.
Where this heavenly scent comes from,
It would make you sing a song.
When the petals start to fall,
I can hear the small flower call.
Put me in your favourite book,
And in a while, take a look.
You will find to your suprise,
There before your very eyes.
I'll be real silk, and so meek,
And I'll be yours forever to keep.
Next time a petal you will find,
Do not leave it on the ground behind.
We know you can't take us all home,
But, that's O.K. we won't be alone.
Just take six or even seven,
And you will have a bit of heaven.
So, this is how the story goes,
Treat your friends like the petals of a rose.

This poem I would like to dedicate to another dear friend Louann, she stood by me all through my illness. Love you bunches.

As Night Draws Near.

I'm sending this card to my friend so dear,
Now as the night is drawing near.
I wish you a peaceful and restful sleep,
I ask the Lord, my friend to keep.

So, dream on in God's embrace,
And may you wake full of grace.
To your day, make a possitive start,
Having the Lord Jesus in your heart.
My wish for you, that the sun will shine,
And for your day to yurn out fine.
And may we always have the time,
To share together, dear friend of mine.

This poem I went to dedicate to my sweet, sweet friend Carolyn. Carolyn has the voice of an angel,
very hard working, but still finds time for her friends.
Love and God Bless you Carolyn.

My Precious Friend.

To have in your life a true precious friend,
Waiting for your troubles to mend.
To you their ear they'll always lend,
On them you know, you can depend.

When life is very hard to bare,
To have a friend so very rare.
We really should knell down and pray,
And thank the Lord for our friend this day.

You know that they do really care,
When you need them, they are there.
So, I ask the Lord up above,
To shower my friend with His love.

Thank you Carolyn for all your time,
I'm so lucky you're a friend of mine

The Dark One.

When I'm feeling down and out,
And my heart is full of doubt.
I'll turn to Satan, and I'll shout,
Get away from me, you're not the light.
I don't want to know your plight,
So-go on now, take a flight.
To your home down below,
I tell you, I don't want to know.
I have my Lord and Savior of love,
And His home is up above.
So-I tell you, up I'm going,
Where His love is always showing.
You're a prophet of false hope,
To God's children that can't cope.
But. if we stay in the Savior's light,
We wont live in your dark night.
So-come on all, this I say,
Don't let Satan ruin your day.
Just give your troubles to Jesus Christ,
And let Satan pay the price.

Touch The Lord.

Touch the Lord as He passes by,
He is there, to supply.
Comfort and love in time of need,
He will always do a good deed.
Tell the Lord what's on your mind,
He is always good and kind.
Tell Him from the very start,
All the troubles in your heart.
He wont ever turn you away,
But to Him, you must pray.
Tell Him you can't bare the load,
And give it to Him for a while to hold.
He will take it, He won't complain,
He'll be glad to Him you came.
As you turn with the load off your mind,
He'll be smiling with love from behind.

That Gloomy Feeling.

Sometimes when there's gloom around,
And comfort for me cannot be found.
I turn to the Lord in silent prayer,
And ask Him,"Are you really there."
And if I think he didn't listen,
I will say, "So-you're gone missing."
Wherever you are Lord, hear my prayer,
I feel bad, but I know you're there.
I want to imagine your loving face,
Please return to me,your grace.
Take from me this real dark gloom,
Please don't let it turn to doom.
Don't let me think you say goodbye,
I need you Jesus, hear my cry.

A Friendship So Rare.

Come sit down and read a tale,
About a friendship not for sale.
Once there was an Irish lassie,
Who was cute and very sassie.
On the internet she did go,
To spread her heart and words to sow.
Then a real San Antonio gal,
Who move to Dallas, and needed a pal.
Sent an e-mail to the Irish Sweet Pea,
They shared their hearts and all their hopes,
And even got to share some tea.
For you see a friendship meant to be,
Cannot be bought at any fee.
Hold your friends true and dear,
For they will always dry a tear.

Life's Journey.

As From the day of our birth,
It's a tough journey here on earth.
Some day's are good, and some are bad,
Sometimes we're happy and, sometimes we're sad.
A pilgrimage, yes, you could call life,
We have joy, and, we have strife.
The rain we must take, along with the sun,
We need to be serious, we need to have fun.
So - whatever the Lord sends your way,
Take it from Him, then kneel and pray.
Help me cope with life's ups and downs,
Help me to endure all of the rounds.
Life is a journey, we're just passing by,
I want to be ready when it's my time to die.

The Power Of Prayer.

Prayer is a very powerful thing,
If to the Lord, your burdens you bring.
You'll feel better after you pray,
You will cope better with each day.
Your burden will feel so much lighter,
Your outlook will be a great deal brighter.
So - no matter how bad the day may seem,
The sun will always show a beam.
Jesus will help you to be a fighter,
Just give Him your love, and hold Him tighter.

May You Have Sunshine.

May you have sunshine more so than rain,
May you have good health, and be free of all pain.
May you have friends ever so dear,
May you have laughter, and never a tear.
May all you know show kindness to you,
May all your friends be ever so true.
May, you have a heart and a good word to say,
It makes life easier, and helps through your day
May all you troubles be just a few,
May you enjoy the fresh morning dew.
So - my prayer for you, that the sun will shine,
And, may each day be perfect and fine.

Night Prayers.

Living at our house when we were small,
My Mom would gather us, one and all.
We'd kneel around a candle of love,
And we'd pray to the Lord above.
My Mom would say, "Bless Daddy at sea,
Bring him home safely to the children and me.
Then to the Lord, my Mom would pray,
Bless my children, keep them safe in their play.
God bless my husband, and God bless me,
Bless all God's people, keep them safe as can be.

This poem was written by my dear friend from Hawii
Thank you Dawn for giving me premission to use it on my website.

Just as the river flows,so does life's journey.
Around one bend we may find that the waters are calm
Making navigation easy.
As we round another, there may be mighty rapids;
Where it takes all of one's faith and strength just to hold on.
Yet with each bend and each turn,
Through calm waters and mighty rapids;
We grow even stronger, and oh so grateful for the ride

Homeless Teenager

Where am I, I'm scared,
No home, no food.
I think I might die,
Every night I hear strange noises.
At summer school I had so many choices,
But instead I ran away,
But not thinking at all.
I still remember when,
My sister and I played ball.
Now all I have is a trolley and an alley,
Now it's just me, myself,
And my pink teddy Sally.

My Aunt Sally.

She is so special in my heart,
I hope we never part.
Whatever she has she shares,
And for other people she really cares.
Aunt Sally I love you,
You are my life.
My happiest moments are not complete,
Without you at my side.
I hopes you know,
How much you mean to me.
That's why I love you,
And always will trully.
